The course is divided into two curricula - "Digital media and journalism" and "Digital media and publishing" and aims to train graduates with advanced level professionalism, and which integrates the new skills and competences linked to the digital world, to operate in the public and private information and communication system and assume roles of responsibility in companies operating in the sectors of digital media, publishing and journalism. Graduates will be able to take on roles that require specific knowledge of the different media systems (with respect to variables such as technological development and advancement, historical-social contexts of reference, expressive characteristics, characteristics and composition of the public); skills in designing and managing content, formats and services of/for the different media systems, including digital platforms and social media; editorial content production and management skills; planning and management skills in audience analysis and market research; planning and management skills in marketing communication and social media marketing campaigns; in-depth knowledge of the information and publishing system and related legal and ethical aspects; journalistic writing skills, with regard to both the editorial, stylistic and rhetorical systems of each media format (print, radio, TV, online) and the specific methods of processing information in the various areas of journalistic discourse; knowledge and skills for the organization and management of press and communication offices.
