Assessment across taught modules focuses on subject curriculum thinking, subject pedagogy, connections between research and school practice, planning and teaching with reflective evaluation of pupil learning, assessment utilization for understanding progress, and inclusive teaching adaptations. Tasks mirror professional practice to build academic confidence and classroom competence. Formative feedback is provided through mentoring, taught sessions, tutorials, and structured guidance during placements. Successful completion requires passing all Level 7 modules and the placement component, which leads to recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status; where Level 7 resubmission occurs, work may be reassessed against Level 6 criteria, potentially resulting in a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education award. Learning combines subject‑focused sessions, professional studies, asynchronous study, intensive training periods targeting behaviour, oracy, subject pedagogy, and assessment, as well as placements in contrasting secondary schools supported by mentoring and regular feedback. This integrated approach links university‑based teaching directly with classroom experience, enabling progressive development of pedagogical skills, behaviour management, oracy, assessment strategies, and subject knowledge.
