Program Overview: M.Sc. Hearing Technology & Audiology

The Master of Science in Hearing Technology and Audiology at the University of Oldenburg is a unique three-semester program offering 90 ECTS credits, combining advanced scientific foundations with practical applications in audiology and hearing device engineering. This program is the only one of its kind in Germany and is offered in collaboration with Jade Hochschule Wilhelmshaven/Oldenburg/Elsfleth.

Students gain expertise in the scientific planning, implementation, and statistical analysis of audiological studies, as well as acoustic and digital signal processing. Graduates are equipped to develop audio systems including hearing aids, entertainment electronics, studio acoustics, and telecommunications devices.

A bridge semester is available for applicants who do not hold a bachelor's degree specifically in Hearing Technology and Audiology, extending the program to four semesters. The program concludes with a six-month master's thesis module worth 30 ECTS credits with a strong scientific research focus.
