Program Overview: Advanced Nursing Practice (M.Sc.)

The Advanced Nursing Practice (M.Sc.) at the University of Oldenburg trains nurses as advanced practice nurses and prepares them for a clinical-practical professional role. The curriculum focuses on the ability to make science-based actions and decisions in direct nursing interactions, equipping graduates with the competencies needed for evidence-based care practice.

Launched in the winter semester 2024/25, this part-time Master's programme is designed to be completed over five semesters, allowing students to continue working alongside their studies. In-person study takes place on two fixed days per week during semesters 1 to 3, with selected seminars offered online through the university's Stud.IP learning platform.

The programme places clinical expertise and the implementation of Advanced Practice Nursing roles in various care settings at its centre.
