Women's Studies Bachelor

The Bachelor’s in Women’s Studies is an interdisciplinary degree that focuses on the study of gender, women’s lives, and feminist perspectives across societies and cultures. Drawing on disciplines such as sociology, history, politics, cultural studies, media studies, and anthropology, the programme encourages students to critically examine power, inequality, identity, and social change.

Throughout the degree, students explore key themes including feminist theory, intersectionality, race and ethnicity, sexuality, representation in media and culture, labour and care work, global women’s issues, health, education, and human rights. The programme places strong emphasis on social justice, equity, and inclusive practice, equipping students to analyse contemporary social issues from multiple perspectives.

Students develop essential transferable skills such as critical analysis, academic research, written and oral communication, and independent thinking.
