Psychology - Work and Organizational Psychology
University of Mainz, Germany
Overview
You will learn how to systematically examine how working conditions influence motivation, job satisfaction, stress, and health. In doing so, you will also take individual factors as well as social dynamics into consideration, such as leadership, communication, and teamwork. The program focuses particularly on the application of psychological principles in the selection of personnel and staff development, organizational consulting, and occupational health management.
We work closely with the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research, through which you will be able to gain insights into current interdisciplinary research approaches. The program of study will prepare you to develop evidence-based solutions for the challenges of the modern working world and to play an active role in shaping organizations to become fit for the future. The association for business psychology in Mainz, the Förderverein für Wirtschaftspsychologie, will provide support in the form of mentoring programs, practical lectures, and financial support for student research projects and final theses.
