The MSc Business Analytics at Kent Business School is delivered by published academics and in collaboration with industry leaders, equipping you with the skills, technologies, applications, and practices to become an expert in interpreting and analysing enterprise data effectively. Through a focus on the three pillars of business analytics — statistics, operational research, and business management — you will develop a deep understanding of how data drives strategic decision-making in modern organisations.
This programme is designed for students from diverse academic backgrounds, including those new to analytics. You will work with real data and tools such as Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and machine learning libraries to extract actionable insights, all taught through real-world business challenges. The course also offers extensive access to real market data via the Bloomberg Lab, a virtual trading platform rich with real-world data and case studies.
The programme is also available with an optional industrial placement of up to 12 months, allowing you to gain valuable work experience in the UK or overseas. The MSc Business Analytics curriculum is structured across four evenly paced 10-week terms. In the first three terms, you complete two modules each, building expertise in machine learning, data analytics, and predictive modelling.
