Advanced and Specialist Healthcare (Advanced Dental Clinical Practice)\t

The MSc Advanced and Specialist Healthcare Articulated Pathway (Advanced Dental Clinical Practice) is a part-time Master’s-level programme spanning 18 months. It offers a pathway for FGDP post-registration Diploma holders and other suitably qualified candidates to attain a full Master's qualification.

**Overview**  

This programme is delivered by Kent's Global and Lifelong Learning (GLL) team at the Medway campus and is a collaborative effort between GLL and the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) (FGDP (UK)).

**Who is the Programme For?**  

Candidates who have successfully completed an FGDP post-registration Diploma or other relevant programmes can apply for direct entry with advanced standing of 90 credits to the next available MSc in Advanced and Specialist Healthcare cohort. This programme promotes the intellectual and professional development of experienced healthcare practitioners, enabling them to enhance their analytical and critical reasoning skills that support practice, including organisational leadership, health and welfare systems, and advanced technical procedures.

**The Programme Aims To:**  

- Provide supervision for advanced practitioner-centred research, fostering a culture of evaluation and inquiry within the practice environment.

- Equip experienced practitioners to challenge, question, and realign strategies for specialist practice.

- Develop confident senior practitioners capable of contributing to practice development and collaborating effectively within complex multidisciplinary teams.

**Assessment Method**  

Assessment strategies within the MSc Advanced and Specialist Healthcare framework aim to support the growth of academic and professional practice. Participants are expected to demonstrate innovative approaches in applying knowledge to their practice. Assessment methods are designed to showcase the depth and breadth of experiential knowledge and its relation to participants' professional practice. Modules that include practical clinical skills may require demonstrations of skills and knowledge.
