The Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering (BSRE) at the University of Hartford is an interdisciplinary program housed within the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA). It integrates mathematics, physics, mechanics, electronics, controls, and computing systems to prepare you for the rapidly growing field of robotics and automation.
The program covers key areas including Electrical Engineering (circuit design, digital devices, microcontrollers, and control systems), Mechanical Engineering (modeling, manufacturing, kinematics, statics, dynamics, and mechatronics), and Computer Science (programming, artificial intelligence, and computer vision). You will benefit from two fully equipped robotics laboratories and the new 60,000-square-foot Hursey Center featuring state-of-the-art machinery and technology.
The BSRE program at UHart is the first of its kind in Connecticut to receive ABET accreditation in EAC, and only the second in New England. Multidisciplinary research efforts in CETA cover ground vehicles, underwater vehicles, and aerial vehicle domains, giving you access to cutting-edge research opportunities alongside your coursework.
