Applied Sport Science BSc (Hons)

Applied Sport Science is characterized as the study of human responses to sport, involving the application of scientific principles to the promotion, maintenance, and enhancement of exercise-related behaviors. The programme is underpinned by four key disciplines: physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and skill acquisition, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing participation and performance.

Delivered over four years, the degree structure provides significant flexibility, allowing for the study of a diverse range of subjects beyond the core discipline during the first two years. This approach enables the exploration of supplementary academic interests to enhance the degree. Consequently, by the end of the second year, specific areas of focus may be selected for the honours years of the programme.
