Overview

The MSc in Construction Engineering Management is designed to develop highly skilled professionals capable of managing complex, multidisciplinary organisations within the global construction industry. The programme prepares students to operate effectively from a range of professional perspectives, including those of the client, contractor, designer, and supplier, reflecting the collaborative and interconnected nature of modern construction projects.

A central aim of the programme is to strengthen students’ management capability while fostering a critically reflective approach to construction practice. Emphasis is placed on applying theoretical knowledge to real-world industry contexts, enabling students to bridge the gap between academic understanding and professional practice. Through this applied focus, students enhance their ability to manage projects, teams, and resources efficiently within both national and international construction environments.

The curriculum provides a broad and integrated skill set covering key areas such as Project Management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Construction Law, Supply Chain Management, and Procurement. These areas equip students with the technical, legal, and organisational knowledge required to manage construction projects from inception through to completion.
