Acting for Stage and Screen BA

Alongside your lecturers, you will be mentored and taught by professional actors, directors, casting directors, filmmakers, and screenwriters, many of whom work in the industry today. Acting for screen aspects of the course will develop your skills in acting and auditioning for camera, comedy sitcom, short film making, self-tapes, and professionally produced showreels. Acting for stage aspects of the course will include practical projects and productions at an east London arts venue, developing your craft in acting fundamentals covering a wide range of practitioners, approaches to text, naturalism, classical and physical theatre, and new writing, culminating in studio and main stage public performances. From the initial idea through to performance or screening, we encourage and support an understanding of the actors' creative process, equipping you with acting toolkits and tracing a pathway towards creative freedom.
