Curriculum & Modules
The Computer Science Tripos is structured to build a strong foundation in the first two years before offering increasing specialisation. Discrete Mathematics and Algorithms
Core (Year 1)Covers essential mathematical foundations including set theory, logic, relations, functions, graph theory, and core algorithmic design and analysis techniques.
Digital Electronics and Computer Architecture
Core (Year 1)Explores hardware systems from logic gates and sequential circuits through to processor architecture, with assessed laboratory work including chip design practicals.
Object-Oriented Programming and Software Engineering

Operating Systems and Networking
Core (Year 2)Examines the design and implementation of operating systems, concurrency, memory management, and the fundamentals of computer networking and distributed systems.
