Veterinary Science BVSc

The programme offers a newly designed curriculum that integrates scientific foundations, practical and clinical skills, clinical reasoning, professional development and the interrelated themes of animals, people and the planet. Instruction uses cutting‑edge evidence‑based methods, case‑based learning with real clinical scenarios, flipped‑classroom sessions and built‑in consolidation activities. Students acquire early hands‑on experience with a variety of animals and complete placements in veterinary practices, farms and specialist hospitals. Teaching occurs on the Clifton campus in Bristol city centre and the Langford rural campus, utilising modern anatomy suites, diagnostic labs, an award‑winning clinical skills centre, a dairy farm and an abattoir. The five‑year full‑time programme starts with three years on the Clifton site and proceeds to two years on the Langford campus. Throughout, students benefit from networking with partner organisations, engagement in research projects and accreditation by professional bodies such as the RCVS, AVMA and EAEVE, preparing them for global veterinary careers.
