Environmental Geoscience (4 Years)

The MSci Environmental Geoscience program at the University of Bristol is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of Earth's environment and the impact of human activities. The program is structured to cover a wide range of topics, including hydrology, geomicrobiology, environmental impact assessments, oceans and climates, and environmental radioactivity. Students will have the opportunity to conduct independent research projects, closely supervised by internationally renowned faculty members. The program includes extensive fieldwork both in the UK and overseas, with costs covered by the tuition fee. This fieldwork is integral to the program, offering practical experience and fostering a close-knit community among students and staff. The skills developed throughout the program, such as coding, numerical modelling, chemistry lab skills, data analysis, communication, creativity, and resilience, are highly valued by employers. The program is accredited by The Geological Society (TGS), ensuring high standards of education and recognition in the field.
