About Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma

Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM) is a private Catholic university established in 1993 with the mission of placing the value of the human person at the center of biomedical sciences. The university was inspired by Monsignor Álvaro del Portillo, who in 1988 encouraged professionals and professors to create a university clinic in Rome rooted in a Christian spirit of service to those experiencing illness and pain.

UCBM offers a holistic educational experience that blends cultural, professional, and personal development, rooted in the unity of knowledge. An integral part of the university is the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, a JCI-accredited facility that provides students with exceptional clinical training and serves the healthcare needs of the community through an agreement with Italy's National Health Service.

Located on the Trigoria campus at the edge of the Decima-Malafede Regional Park, UCBM today offers 16 degree courses across three departmental faculties. The university is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR), listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, and has earned a place in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, positioning itself among the top universities in Italy.
