Management of Technical Education
Students learn theories and real-world problem-solving skills focused around managing instructional personnel in an educational or training environment.
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Management of Technical Education program prepares graduates to manage instructional personnel in an educational or training environment. Graduates learn skills needed to supervise educators or trainers in community colleges, businesses, the military, civil service or other education and training sites.
Course Work
In this program, students develop instructional and managerial competencies through various courses in curriculum design and delivery, instructional improvement, human performance technology, class organization, management, teaching/learning styles, diversity, understanding organizations and program evaluation.
Course schedules are created to accommodate the needs of working professionals, this allows for online instruction through Zoom and/or weekly assignments due per the instructor with no meeting dates.
Students provide direct input to create their 36-credit-hour degree plans during meetings with the graduate advisor. Students must pass both the exit written and oral examinations prior to receiving their degrees.

Working professionals are able to customize their degree plans in order to gain practical and theoretical knowledge and take courses to accommodate their schedules.

The management of technical education M.Ed. degree provides the broad skills necessary for an educator or trainer to become a better instructor and manager of instruction in career and technical education or training settings. Students can hone their technical education and administrative skills through courses in career and technical education. Students have the option to include courses in educational leadership or explore courses in occupational education.

All are trained in advanced teaching modalities for graduate courses, whether they are online or hybrid. Several have won prestigious awards for their teaching and other faculty work.
