Discover UniCamillus: Italy's International Medical University

Saint Camillus International University of Health and Medical Sciences, commonly known as UniCamillus, is a private Italian university recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research in November 2017. Dedicated exclusively to health and medical sciences, it is one of the few universities in Italy focused entirely on training healthcare professionals in a multicultural, English-language environment.

Named after St. Camillus de Lellis, a 16th-century pioneer in healthcare who founded a religious order dedicated to caring for the sick, the university carries forward a humanitarian mission. UniCamillus places special emphasis on preparing doctors and health professionals to address the healthcare needs of developing countries, with particular attention to diseases such as AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.

With campuses in Rome, Venice, and Cefalu, UniCamillus attracts students from over 40 nationalities. More than 40% of its student body comes from outside the European Union, making it one of the most internationally diverse medical institutions in Europe. Degrees earned at UniCamillus are legally recognized across the European Union and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.

Features

Quality Assurance (QA) can be defined as the set of processes implemented by UniCamillus in order to promote the continuous improvement of the quality of higher education while respecting the responsibility of the University towards society. The QA is pursued through the management of coordinated actions aimed at guiding and controlling the processes that characterize it. The actions envisaged consist of planning, management, monitoring and self-assessment (internal and external verification activities) of training and scientific activities. The reference used by UniCamillus to define its own QA system is that defined by the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR). The Governing Bodies define the general guidelines of the UniCamillus quality policy and make use of the Academic Quality Assurance to supervise and support the implementation of procedures at all levels, also ensuring the management of internal and external information flows.\n\n
