Work and Organisation MRes

The Work and Organisation MRes is a one‑year pre‑doctoral programme based in the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London. It combines two core research modules with a choice of four optional business‑focused modules, culminating in a dissertation of 10 000–15 000 words. The curriculum emphasises research design, qualitative and quantitative methods, and advanced analytical techniques, offering close ties with the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership and collaboration with King’s College London and Imperial College London. Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars and workshops, with assessment comprising coursework and the final dissertation. Students benefit from dedicated research facilities, the Graduate Centre, and access to resources such as Bloomberg and Financial Times, while the campus provides a vibrant academic environment within walking distance of central London.
