Banking and Finance

A special focus on commercial and investment banking, especially regulation and risk management for banking. Entry into careers in risk management and regulation in commercial banks, investment banks, and supervisory financial institutions (e.g. central banks). A degree affiliated with Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and its Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Certification (the premier certification for financial risk professionals). Optional pre-sessional modules in maths and statistics for students with a limited quantitative background. This programme is based in the School of Economics and Finance (SEF) on Queen Mary’s Mile End campus. Wide range of careers in the financial sector, especially in risk management and regulation in commercial banks, investment banks, and supervisory financial institutions (e.g. central banks).
