The Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Certificate program at North West College prepares you to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day. Personal Care Skills 1 & 2
CoreDevelop hands-on skills in assisting clients with personal care needs including infection control, body mechanics, positioning, oral care, feeding assistance, grooming, dressing, foot and nail care, and elimination care.
Anatomy and Medical Conditions
CoreReceive a foundational introduction to body systems, studying the structure of organs and systems in the human body and how they function. Learn about disruptions in sensory organs, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neurological, and endocrine systems.
Dementia Care
CoreStudy the types, behaviors, and assessment techniques for dementia. Learn how to promote optimal levels of functioning throughout disease progression, manage critical incidents, and understand the impact of dementia on families.
Human Growth and Development
