Child Development

The Department of Child Development trains Child Development Professionals who can evaluate all developmental areas (mental, language, motor, social, emotional and self-care) of children between the ages of 0-18 who are developing normally, or children who may be gifted, disabled, in need of protection, working, refugee, criminalised children and hospitalised children, and prepare developmental education programmes based on this evaluation, as well as providing services to families, educators and the society. With the services they provide to children, educators and families, child development professionals contribute to the formation of a society which consists of physically and psychologically healthy, curious, critical, inquisitive individuals who possess ethical and cultural values and have entrepreneurial and innovative skills.
