FORESTRY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

This three-year program (180 ECTS) at the Department of Agriculture teaches silviculture, wildfire prevention, and biodiversity assessment, using GIS for landscape planning. Students join forest inventories and reforestation projects in Aspromonte National Park, gaining skills in sustainable timber use and carbon sequestration. The curriculum incorporates policy analysis for EU Green Deal compliance, with field schools on invasive species control. Graduates work in forestry agencies, conservation NGOs, or advance to master's in sustainable territory management.
