AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

This three-year program (180 ECTS) at the Department of Agriculture provides foundational knowledge in plant breeding, irrigation systems, and precision farming techniques, emphasizing environmental sustainability and food security. Students engage in hands-on laboratory work, field trials, and internships with local farms, integrating economic and engineering principles for optimizing agricultural outputs. The curriculum also covers agroecology and biotechnology, preparing graduates to address climate change impacts on Southern Italian agriculture. Upon completion, alumni can pursue roles in agrotech startups, extension services, or advanced studies in Mediterranean crop sciences.
