Medical radiology, imaging and radiotherapy techniques (L/SNT3)
Link Campus University-Campus, Italy
The learning pathway is structured to offer a comprehensive and future-oriented preparation. . Right from the first year, the students will acquire fundamental knowledge about the physiology and pathology of the human organism, with a special focus on the characteristics of the different age groups: from the developmental age, to the adult, to the elderly person. At the same time, they will study the physical and technical principles underlying imaging and radiotherapy technologies, learning how to operate the most modern diagnostic equipment.
The main focus of the course is radiation protection, , a crucial ethical and professional aspect that accompanies all teaching and practical activities related to the use of ionising radiation. The training is strongly practice-oriented, with laboratories, supervised clinical placements and simulations in realistic environments, preparing the student to confidently face the responsibilities of the role.
The students of Medical Radiology Techniques at LINK Campus University will acquire advanced technical skills, but also decision-making abilities, a spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration and a critical sense. Radiology technicians are in fact not just a equipment operators: they are healthcare professionals who work in close synergy with radiologists, radiotherapists, medical physicists and other specialists, actively contributing to the early diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of pathologies.
Our graduates will be able to independently handle complex diagnostic investigations using X-rays, MRI, ultrasound and radioisotopes. They are responsible for the proper functioning of instruments, patient safety and quality control of equipment, and also participate in the planning of diagnostic-therapeutic protocols.
Training at LINK Campus University also includes the acquisition of transversal skills useful for applied research, continuing education and professional development, for constant growth over time and a profile always aligned with innovations in the health and technology sector.
