Textile and Fashion Design (Tur)

The Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Istinye University adopts the fundamental mission of educating graduates who are aware of the current expectations and future possibilities of the profession, sensitive to the expectations of people, society and the environment, competent at the highest level in professional and technical matters and who have the intellectual groundwork required to be a university graduate, in a way that they can practice their professions as a result of a student-centered learning process.

The Department of Textile and Fashion Design aims to train the human profile that the Turkish Textile and Fashion Industry needs on an international scale. In this direction, it aims to bring fashion designers who carry out the design process from design idea to market and trend research, creative product solutions, contemporary pattern and sewing techniques and presentation styles; fashion business owners who bring these ideas and products together with appropriate consumers and markets with the right identity and brands, develop marketing and management strategies, and also carry out the finance, distribution, marketing, sales and communication stages of this process.
