Arabic Language Teaching (Tur-Ar)

The training period for Arabic language teaching is 5 years. The goal here is for students to be able to closely recognize the rich treasures of the Arabic language in the past at the desired level and to be able to easily respond to the needs of our age in the field of Arabic language. The slogan of our program, which will accept students in the 2019-2020 academic year, is to train " Equipped Arabic Teachers". Relationships in different areas that have existed with the Arab world since the past and have developed greatly especially in the last 20 years require the Arabic teacher to be equipped at a high level. J. Keth Moorhead says, "No one ever climbed the ladder of success with their hands in their pockets." In other words, every blessing has a burden. The important thing is to keep in mind the words of Saint Exupery, "A good beginning is half success." If we need Arabic, an extremely important language today, more than before, this situation stems from the value of the Arabic language. In fact, something that is needed is always valuable.

One of the fundamental elements of success is persistence. A philosopher once said, “If you knock loudly and long enough, you are sure to wake someone up.” In the newly opened Arabic Language Teaching Program, our students will have the opportunity to work in the private sector, academia, embassies and consulates, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, translation, libraries that hold manuscripts, and other relevant units, in addition to teaching Arabic after graduation.
