Overview
The vision of the Department of Special Education is to envision itself as a leader at local, regional, national, and international levels in improving educational opportunities, housing, and services that support individuals with special educational needs and their families. Graduating from one of the following undergraduate programs: Intellectual Disability Education, Visual Impairment Education, Hearing Impairment Education, Special Education Teaching, or Gifted Education, or completing the Non-Thesis Special Education Master’s Program. Obtaining the required score from the ALES exam (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) announced for the relevant period in the program applied for, or achieving an equivalent score in a recognized examination accepted by the Higher Education Council. To graduate from the thesis-based master’s program, students must complete at least 120 ECTS credits, including at least 7 courses (one of which covers scientific research methods and publication ethics) and a seminar course, and successfully defend their thesis before a jury.
