Graphic Design

The Graphic Design Department at Beykent University is committed to educating creative and innovative designers who master fundamental graphic techniques and excel in visual communication. The program is tailored to develop students’ ability to conceive and execute original design projects, engage in research, and present aesthetically compelling and meaningful visual messages.

Over the course of the four-year undergraduate program, students receive a comprehensive education that balances artistic theory with practical skills. The curriculum includes core courses in visual communication, typography, color theory, digital imaging, illustration, branding, and multimedia design. In addition, students study design history, aesthetics, and the philosophy of art, cultivating a deeper understanding of the cultural and conceptual contexts of their work.

The program emphasizes fostering critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and high initiative. Students are encouraged to explore innovative ideas, experiment with different media and tools, and develop a refined visual perception that allows them to communicate effectively across diverse platforms.

Admission to the Graphic Design Department requires passing a special talent exam that evaluates candidates’ creative potential and foundational skills in design.

Throughout their studies, students participate in workshops, studio projects, and exhibitions, gaining hands-on experience and opportunities to build a professional portfolio. They also benefit from interactions with experienced faculty and industry professionals, enriching their academic experience and preparing them for a dynamic career in graphic design.

The language of instruction is Turkish, and the program duration is 4 years. Graduates leave the program equipped with the technical expertise, artistic insight, and innovative spirit necessary to succeed in the evolving fields of graphic design, advertising, digital media, and beyond.
