Politics and International Relations BA
UWE Bristol Campus, United Kingdom
The BA(Hons) Politics and International Relations programme at UWE Bristol delivers an applied, forward‑looking curriculum that blends theoretical study with policy analysis and practical engagement. Core modules include Critical Thinking and Political Theory, International Relations, Politics of Crisis and Change, and Politics, States and Resistance, while optional pathways let students explore gender studies, global political economy and parliamentary practice. An Institute of Leadership and Management‑accredited module builds leadership skills, and an optional sandwich‑year placement provides work experience that enhances employability. Assessment uses essays, presentations, case studies, simulation exercises and a dissertation to develop independent research and critical interpretation of contemporary political issues. Graduates gain analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities suitable for roles in government, NGOs, international organisations, media and business, and may continue study.
