Overview
The University of Toledo’s School Psychology graduate program offers master of arts and education specialist degrees. Our program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

UToledo School Psychology graduate students become skilled mental-health and instructional specialists who work with young people and their families from evidence-based and culturally sensitive perspectives.
Top Reasons to Study School Psychology at UToledo
Field experiences in year one.
First-year graduate students participate in a 100-hour pre-practicum that includes a focus on culturally responsive practice. Each Ed.S. student completes an additional 400-hour practicum and 1,200-hour internship.
Pathway to licensure.
Because the UToledo program is NASP-approved, Ed.S. graduates scoring above a certain level on the Praxis II test are automatically eligible to apply to be a nationally certified school psychologist in Ohio.

Graduate assistantships.
A limited number of graduate assistantships are available within UToledo’s School of Intervention and Wellness. School Psychology students also have secured graduate assistantships on campus in the Counseling Center, TRIO program and Office of Residence Life.
