MSc Advanced Audiology at the University of Southampton
The MSc Advanced Audiology at the University of Southampton provides master's-level education in hearing and balance science, combining advanced topics with collaborative, research-led learning. This is the UK's longest-running MSc in Advanced Audiology, designed to prepare you for a career in future research or to advance your clinical practice in the field.
You will learn within a community of people actively carrying out and passionate about research, evidence-based practice, and person-and-family-centred practice in audiology. Your learning is informed by the university's renowned Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR), which developed the childhood hearing screening adopted by the NHS and recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Please note that this is not a clinical training route. If you have no or very limited previous clinical experience in audiology and want to work in the UK as an audiologist, the university's MSc Audiology with Clinical Placement may be a more suitable option. The MSc Advanced Audiology is ideal for those with existing clinical backgrounds who wish to deepen their expertise.
