This course will prepare you to progress and excel in various roles in the cyber security industry.

You will graduate with industry-ready skills in:

• Digital forensics
• Security governance
• Cloud security

We have aligned BSc Cyber Security with industrial programmes and associated certification opportunities (e.g., AWS, Splunk). Students may work towards industry recognised certifications at an appropriate time during their degree programme, allowing them to distinguish themselves professionally early in their future careers.

Learning

You won’t be sitting in a lecture theatre, but instead will be learning in interactive classes, working closely with your lecturers and fellow students.

This includes:  

• Working in the computer labs
• Seminar-style workshops
• Tutorials
• Project-based learning

Assessment

You’ll be set authentic assessments.

Your assessments will be based on the real world so that you will graduate with the necessary professional skills. This includes: 

•  Portfolios of security assessments

•  Presentations, where you’ll showcase your technical knowledge to your peers

•  Team projects, so you can get the critical experience industry is looking for 

•  Individual projects of various scales and flexibility.
