- The Behavioural Science Major is based on the premise that everyone is entitled to social justice and equity and is concerned with the practical application of this premise to all aspects of human interaction. The Major equips you to promote social justice and equity, focussing on the strengths and competencies of individuals and communities.
- The Major promotes the concept of well-being for the person and the many and varied groups that they might belong to, as well as advocating for social justice at society's political, cultural and economic levels. You will use specialist knowledge in psychology, sociology, political science and cultural studies to promote overall social wellbeing.
- Behavioural Science is available as a Major and Minor in the following programs, including double-degree variations:
- Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) (Minor only)
- Bachelor of Communications and Media (second Major and Minor)
- Bachelor of Science (Minor only)
- Alternatively, you can complete a 3-year Bachelor of Behavioural Science degree.
Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Arts graduates should be able to;
- Demonstrate broad theoretical and practical knowledge, with depth in the underlying principles and concepts of one or more disciplines or practice areas
