The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with a Foundation Year at the University of Kent is designed for students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for the standard three-year degree. The foundation year provides essential grounding in chemistry, mathematics, and practical laboratory skills, preparing you to confidently progress into the full BSc program.

Curriculum and Modules
The program begins with a foundation year covering essential science and mathematics, followed by three years of increasingly specialised forensic science study. Organic Chemistry
15 creditsStudy the structures of carbon-based molecules, how they bond with other elements to form complex compounds, and how they can be synthesised both synthetically and biologically. This module lays the foundations for your later forensic science studies.
Introduction to Forensic Science
