Astronomy, Space Science and Astrophysics with a Foundation Year

Physics provides tools to decode everything from sub-atomic particles to the universe's vast structure. Kent’s foundation year equips students for physics, astrophysics, astronomy, or space science degrees, designed for those not meeting direct-entry criteria or looking to switch from non-science fields. Relevant professional experience is also considered. Completing the foundation year opens doors to degrees, including Kent’s four-year integrated Master’s (MPhys). The program cultivates transferable skills, leading to careers in research, aeronautics, engineering, medical physics, defence, teaching, finance, and data analytics.
