Overview
The Slavic Studies program provides students with in-depth fundamental knowledge and skills related to the language, literature, and culture of the respective Slavic countries in their historical and contemporary manifestations. In the core subject of East Slavic Studies, you will study Russian and another Slavic language (Czech or Polish, Bulgarian, Serbian/Croatian). In Jena, you can also study Slavic Studies with a focus on South Slavic Studies (core or supplementary subject) or West Slavic Studies (supplementary subject).
