MSc Biomathematics

The master's program is based on the main course of the previous diploma program. The elective options have been expanded. There are still courses in the three pillars of Analysis/Optimization, Stochastics/Statistics, and Discrete Mathematics/Computer Science. However, it is possible to combine these courses to obtain the required number of credits.

The master's thesis can be written within or outside the institute, including in the private sector or abroad. However, one of the two supervisors must be from the institute. The master's thesis has a time frame of six months, which can be spread over nine months. It is usually in an interdisciplinary field. The master's program concludes with its public defense.
