Management & Sustainable Tourism (Dumfries campus) MSc
University of Glasgow Campus, United Kingdom
This is about saving destinations, not engineering fuels. The MSc in Management & Sustainable Tourism tackles the massive environmental footprint of the global travel industry. It is a unique hybrid degree split across two very different locations.
The structure is highly specific: You spend Semester 1 in Glasgow at the Adam Smith Business School, learning core management principles like Business Finance and Operations. Then, for Semester 2, you must physically relocate to the Dumfries Campus (a rural town in the south of Scotland) to study Tourism Sustainability and Climate Change.
You will work on real-world projects involving distilleries, heritage libraries, and local tourism boards. It is perfect for future leaders of national parks, eco-resorts, or government tourism agencies who need to balance economic profit with the preservation of local cultures and natural ecosystems.
