Interior Design MA
Docklands Campus, United Kingdom
Overview
The Interior Design programme adopts a highly hands-on and practice-led approach, integrating design theory with professional application to explore how interior environments respond to global, social, and cultural change. The programme encourages students to develop innovative, responsible, and user-focused design solutions that positively shape the built environment.
Students engage in core modules covering design processes, materiality, spatial experimentation, and user-centred design approaches. Through studio-based learning, students develop comprehensive design portfolios that include orthographic drawings, physical models, and advanced digital representations, demonstrating both conceptual creativity and technical proficiency.
Learning is enriched through field trips, live briefs, and design competitions, enabling students to apply their skills in real-world contexts and engage with contemporary design practice. Sustainability, ethical design, and social responsibility are embedded throughout the curriculum, ensuring that students critically consider the environmental and societal impact of their design decisions.
