Art both reflects and gives meaning to life. Those who are passionate about art understand that it isn’t a mere frivolity, but a necessity. The world needs more innovative artists to nurture hope while challenging modern society to confront the Big Questions in life.

If you’re ready to heed the call, consider an undergraduate or graduate degree in Studio Art. There are five disciplines to choose from:

• 2D Studies
• 3D & Extended Media
• Illustration, Design and Animation
• Photography, Video and Imaging
• Interdisciplinary Practice (MFA only)

Our interdisciplinary curricula pay homage to the historical roots and developments across disciplines, while preparing students to push the boundaries of contemporary artistic thought and design methods. All Studio Art majors begin their journey with the First Year Experience, an engaging eight-week program with thematic workshop-structured art courses.
