LICENSE Letters; Modern Letters
Sorbonne Université, France
Overview
--OPTION B: "LITERARY CULTURE AND CREATION." This option integrates training and reflection on more recent forms of fiction (cinema, comics, new media) while maintaining the basics of French literature. It is intended for students who want to pursue careers in culture.
Training objectives:
The Bachelor of Modern Literature allows students to build a broad literary culture (from the oldest forms of creation to the most contemporary production), open to other literatures and cultures (ancient and foreign) and other arts, to acquire advanced writing and argumentative skills, to develop qualities of analysis and interpretation on different types of texts and discourses (literary, political, etc.) and different media (films, comics, digital, etc.), to perfect their mastery of the French language by placing it in a history and a system, and to work on their expression in writing and orally. It trains in particular in the explanation and commentary of texts, in the synthetic approach to works, in problematized reflection and argumentation on different subjects, in the confrontation between texts, arts and cultures, in a reasoned understanding of different media.
