About SAE Institute London

SAE Institute was established in 1976 in Sydney, Australia, by Tom Misner, originally as the School of Audio Engineering. It has since grown into one of the largest creative media education networks in the world, with over 40 campuses across more than 25 countries. The London campus opened its doors in 1985 and has become one of the largest SAE colleges in Europe.

SAE Institute provides industry-focused, practice-based creative media programmes across subject areas including Audio, Film, Games, Animation, Content Creation, Music Business, and Web Development. In the UK, SAE is registered with the Office for Students and its degrees are validated by the University of Hertfordshire. Students can choose between accelerated two-year degrees and traditional three-year pathways.

SAE's global alumni network includes winners of Oscars, Grammys, and BAFTAs who have gone on to shape the creative industries worldwide. In 2022, UK and European SAE operations were acquired by AD Education, part of the Ardian investment group, further strengthening the institute's position in the creative education landscape.
