General Accounting: Financial Accounting Overview
With a B.S. in General Accounting focused in financial accounting, you will learn the skills required to enhance your analytical and quantitative capabilities, preparing you for a career in accounting or finance. You will also gain knowledge that will enable you to understand the business environment, business concepts and ethical responsibilities.
By selecting the General Accounting Program with a specialization in Financial Accounting, your accounting studies will be focused on financial accounting standards for both for-profit and non-for-profit enterprises, as well as state and local governments.
