Turkish – Arabic Translation And Interpreting

Although there are many people in Turkey dealing with Arabic-Turkish translation, the insufficiency of translators who are aware of the social, cultural, and political dimensions of translation is striking. The aim of our undergraduate program is to provide awareness in students in all fields related to translation, to present examples from practice along with theoretical knowledge, and thus to train qualified translators and academicians of the future.

The aim of this section is to train translators who have developed language awareness and perceive translation not only as an activity at the language level but as intercultural communication. Our students not only master Turkish and Arabic languages, but also the culture and translation techniques of these two languages.

Thanks to intensive practice, our students reach the required skill level in written and oral translation by meeting with social sciences such as international relations, economics, law, and basic sciences.

During the four-year education and training period, our students take the necessary vocational courses in order to have a holistic view of translation and to carry out theory and practice together.
