The trend towards “online everything, anytime, anywhere, anyhow” is set to continue. New computing and communications technologies are constantly emerging, online businesses continue to grow, and digital content is rapidly expanding.

The User Experience Design MSc course equips you with the behavioural theory, design practice, and technological expertise required for a career focused on improving user experiences through design. The course places strong emphasis on the analysis, design, prototyping, and evaluation of multimedia, multimodal, and multi-platform user interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and engaging.

Each taught module guides you through a UX-focused project. Examples include optimising user interactions, innovating digital lifestyle solutions, applying emerging technologies in persuasive ways, or collaborating on the development of virtual reality experiences.

In most modules, you will select your own coursework topic and project strategy in consultation with academic staff, taking into account your existing skills, portfolio, and career ambitions. In the digital studio practice module, you will be assigned to a multidisciplinary team and asked to respond to a defined creative brief.
