Nutrition and Dietetics (Tur)

  A person who successfully completes the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of a higher education institution is entitled to receive the title of 'Dietitian' and to practice the profession of dietician. Dietician is a health profession that organizes individual and collective nutrition plans and programs in line with the principles of nutrition science in order to protect and develop the health of individuals and to increase their quality of life, raises awareness in individuals and society, plans the nutrition of expectant mothers and new living beings to be born from the preconception period, plans, implements and monitors diet programs and education programs for congenital and acquired diseases and other special cases.

   All students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences at İstinye University are provided with free internship opportunities in many hospitals, primarily “Liv Hospital”, “Medical Park” and “VM Medical Park”, so that they can put into practice the theoretical training they receive from the experienced and expert academic staff of the university. Our successful graduates may find the opportunity to work within the “MLPCare Group”, which combines “Liv Hospital”, “Medical Park” and “VM Medical Park” hospitals under one roof.

   Dietitians, who have a very important place in the health and food sectors, generally work in family health centers, schools, dialysis units, weight loss centers, hotels, nursing homes, food factories, air-sea transportation, rehabilitation units, restaurants and international organizations.
