The Department of New Media and Communication aims to help students comprehend new media technologies, which are mass communication tools, and the cultural and social changes brought about by these technologies. It offers a holistic educational approach where theory and practice meet, and where the timeless and the most up-to-date are covered. With this approach, students will develop a transdisciplinary and critical perspective on the social changes that are taking place in the context of social sciences. They will gain communicative qualities such as having advanced visual design perception and skills, being digitally literate, thinking critically, and being able to produce and manage content with the tools of new technology.
Our aim as a department is to prepare our students as media professionals on a local and global scale. Our students will also gain experience in entering the business world and expand their personal interests through internship opportunities. Our graduates will have the opportunity to develop themselves and gain a profession in the fields of social media expertise, journalism, advertising, digital content production and creative arts.
