MSc Spatial Planning and Development

The programme is designed and delivered by internationally renowned experts, with a wealth of academic and professional experience. It aims to create a stimulating academic and professional environment, using a mix of lectures, small group tutorials, case studies and integrated real world-based projects to help build a strong understanding of planning as it engages with real estate development processes. The programme covers a range of topics, including planning law, the theoretical, professional, political and governance contexts for planning and development, sustainability and urban design, and the economic viability of development. Students will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of the international context for planning and development through a week-long field trip, and to undertake an in-depth, independent study of a topic of their choice.
