Curriculum & Modules
The Cranfield MBA curriculum is structured across four distinct terms of approximately 10 weeks each, beginning with an orientation week in September. Core management modules are front-loaded in the first two terms, followed by elective specialisations and a major career pathway project. CoreDevelops strategic thinking and leadership capabilities through case studies, simulations, and group exercises. Covers competitive strategy, corporate governance, and organisational change management.
Financial Management & Accounting
CoreBuilds a sophisticated understanding of core business finance, including financial reporting, investment analysis, corporate finance, and management accounting for decision-making.
Marketing Management
CoreExplores strategic marketing principles, customer insight, brand management, and digital marketing strategies. Emphasises practical application through real-world case analysis and group projects.
Operations & Supply Chain Management
CoreExamines the design and management of operations and supply chains, including process optimisation, logistics, quality management, and sustainable operations strategy.
International Business Assignment
CoreA compulsory international module where students attend lectures at partner institutions or carry out individual projects at local businesses abroad. Cranfield MBA students have completed assignments in over 15 countries.
Consultancy Project
CoreWorking in small groups, you apply your learning to help a real organisation tackle a contemporary business challenge. This involves researching the problem, analysing data, and making actionable recommendations.

Academic Requirements
- Academic QualificationA good undergraduate degree and/or professional qualification. Applicants without a degree may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional career progression or leadership potential.
- Work ExperienceMinimum of 3 years post-qualification work experience (average cohort age is 32)
- GMAT ScoreMinimum 600 (class average is 680); GMAT Focus Edition average is 635
- GRE ScoreMinimum 80th percentile for both verbal and quantitative reasoning
- Alternative Admission TestCranfield Admission Test (CAT) — a two-hour online test covering communication analysis, critical thinking, data analysis, and data interpretation (USD 100 fee)
English Language Requirements
- IELTS Academic6.5 overall with minimum 5.5 in all skill components
- TOEFL iBT92 total (pre-January 2026 scale) with minimum component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking, 17 writing; or 4.5 overall (post-January 2026 scale)
